Wow, I have had a heck of a time with this post. It keeps glitching and I lose the post. So ONE more time.

The greens languished on the front porch for weeks. Every day I would wake up and say—this is the day I'm going to decorate and......nope, I worked on books instead. I started blaming my lack of spirit on no snow....then it snowed. Still I didn't decorate. Finally, one day I woke up and actually felt a tiny bit of spirit, and I decorated. Not as lavish as in the past, but the house has the feeling of celebration.
Tomorrow is candy making day—bark and brittle—so the house will be full of good smells.
