The Colors of Fall

People often ask what inspires the colors in my work.  One just has to look at nature to see the answer. Each season has it's colors. Winter is the subtlest, but there is a vast array of pastel color in the "white" of winter snow. Fall is my favorite color season -  the leaves of the maples when they are turning from green to red, the color of rose hips, and berries and stems of the virginia creeper vine. The light of fall is golden and feels heavy, as if you could grab a handful of light.
